Pulitzer Prizes have gone to Kevin Puts (2012) and Aaron J. Kernis (1998) and MITV has commissioned works from them both! Kevin’s In At The Eye (2016) is a set six love songs set to William Butler Yeats poetry. Aaron’s single movement for string quartet is a beautiful elegy to loss. We end with a piano quartet, the genre that Mozart “invented” with his Piano Quartet in G minor.
